イェスタに渡ったイヒン人（津保化族）は現地のイフアン人（阿蘇部族）と混血し，その後，多くの移民を受け入れながら荒吐族という他民族混成部族を形成していきました。ここで『東日流外三郡誌』に収録されている伝承をもとにその過程を考察します。
